Physiotherapy

Nina offers a wide range of physiotherapy assessments and sport screenings. See links to Livwell and Sea to Sky Sports Physio for more information in her list of services.

She has an extensive background in Manual Therapy and sports rehabilitation. Nina has been using G Strength 500 strain gage by Exsurgo.com, promoted by Dr. Tyler Nelson since October 2019. This has added a very objective way to measure strength after injury, as well as, measuring max strength, repeater strength and rate of force development/contact strength for various finger, wrist, upper & lower limb strength testing.

Climber Screening

Highlight your strengths and weaknesses in flexibility, joint mobility, muscle strength and imbalance. This is an excellent way to start if you have a few different niggles, and/or are wanting to improve your climbing grade, and/or you are stuck at a plateau. Addressing your weaknesses will also help towards injury prevention by becoming more robust if an injury was to occur. See treatment / service lists at Livwell and Sea to Sky Sports Physio Clinics.

Blood Flow Restriction Therapy

Blood flow restriction (BFR) training involves low intensity exercises performed under partial vascular occlusion via an inflatable cuff around the top of the arm and/or thigh. BFR training provides the benefits of high-load training, with the advantage of less tissue and joint stress. Great treatment modality to add to a physiotherapy regime.

Nina trains and hires out her B Strong BFR pneumatic kits for people recovering from injuries who can not tolerate high loads. www.goBstrong.com

My elbow is doing much better and the shoulder is feeling great, thank you for all your help!

  • I have been climbing for 18 years and was suffering from a pattern where everytime I was at my peak strength, I would injure a finger and spend months rehabbing, then repeat the cycle. Seeing Nina for 1:1 sessions she was quick to diagnose the root cause which wasn't in my fingers at all. I cannot recommend Nina highly enough, her physio expertise combined with her climbing knowledge make her the go to expert in the lower mainland, so much so that I travel from Vancouver to Squamish for the sessions.
