2017 Women’s Climbing Symposium

What an amazing time I had Nov 4th 2017 in Bristol at the 7th Women’s Climbing Symposium!

I presented to a bunch of motivated climbing ladies on Injury Prevention. Check out my little video that I presented about keeping on top of antagonist training even if you think you are too busy!

I got to meet a heroin of mine… Lynn Hill !!! She gave a very inspiring talk about her whole life and career. ¬†Was amazing to hear her stories and how dedicated she was/is to climbing. I love how she says she climbs best when all her muscles are relaxed! Not always what I recommend but I will take that on board!!

Attended Eva Lopez’s finger board session and learned that she recommends adding weight to holds you can hang for 30 sec! That is very conservative I think but safe. I normally recommend 15-20 sec. I love her Progression & Transgression Boards. A tad sharp even if you do sand them down! I would train on them on separate days to climbing and definitely rest 30 sec + between hangs to allow enough recovery between reps.
